Pros
At the time, the business was family owned for over 100 years. Has a great product line, a leader in the industry which made the sale a lot easier. Reasonably good support from individuals at the home office. Good pay with good benefits.
Cons
Worked there for the first year with little of no direction, as the national sales manager had very little time available for guidance. The next year another rep. was promoted to regional manager and this person was not experienced or capable in dealing properly with myself and fellow coworkers, the situation became somewhat of a hostile work environment. As it turned out, there was a bit of a "good ol' boy network going on at the sales management level, and there was some questionable tactics how commissions were handled. My exit coincided with the turn of the economy, as a reason for my exit was never disclosed. I had met all my sales goals, and was paid commissions and given raises.
