Free food, and many of the people you meet are truly amazing—passionate about their craft and dedicated to sharing Italian culture. Everything is authentically Italian, from the ingredients to the merchandise and in-store restaurants. There’s also room to make an impact and streamline processes if you take initiative. The work you do is critical and genuinely the lifeblood of the entire store.
Cons
Upper management can be very authoritarian and directive, with no support for their teams. The work is physically demanding, and feedback or recognition often goes ignored. There’s a lack of empathy and concern for employees’ wellbeing, which makes it difficult to stay motivated or feel valued.
