Pros
Great discount at the store, the music is wonderful, and the product is fresh and funky. The customers are amazing as well. There’s something to be said about the people who visit the store on a regular basis and is nothing like the other mall stores surrounding. There seems to be upward mobility for the most part but sometimes it requires moving or waiting for someone to quit for advancement. Being a key holder is not too difficult with the day to day being pleasant. Doing visuals is fun as well
Cons
We have a communication breakdown. The goals grow while the amount of product shrinks. Everything is based on sales goals and if you don’t make it you’re not getting the good shifts. The company uses workplace for lots of things and it is replacing emails so things get lost in the shuffle. They want us to use the platform but only in a way that flatters the company. It’s like a false positivity breeding ground and can get catty quickly. Tone is not conveyed well and the #consisitency came out of nowhere. The standards are constantly changing and while it’s a new company it’s inconsistent at best. There’s lots of changes to management and a shifting mgmt style. At first higher ups were very hands on and now everything is so remote and strangely micromanaging at multiple levels. Going through lots of store managers in short amounts of time is stressful for the entire staff.
