Pros
- You get to drive Teslas
- Hourly pay
Cons
Where do I start?
-Riders are not required to wear masks (had a few riders hacking their lungs up in the car)
- They clean the interior of the cars with MINT WATER and "green cleaners" which doesn't disinfect anything when there is a global pandemic going on
- Drivers hardly see tips because a majority of riders are from out of town and will never open up the app again because we're only based in Nashville and Austin, TX
- A lot of waiting around. Most days I'd wait 1-2 hours for a ride. Granted I was getting paid hourly, but I was just sitting in the car or told to go hand out flyers.
- Scheduling was a complete mess.
- Dashboard, the hub that manages all the rides is now based in Austin, not Nashville so the communication is absolutely terrible.
- Maintenance on cars is a huge issue. There's one Tesla Model X that is super squeaky and no one ever wants to drive it because it's embarrassing. These are luxury EVs that people are booking and they can't afford to fix a squeaky wheel? This affected tips and turned off riders completely to Earth Rides
- Mandatory meetings. Most of us had two jobs and we were expected to attend these weekly meetings. We had to clock for the meeting, but if we worked a second job we couldn't attend or clock in. Pretty unfair advantage.
- Only benefits provided were chiropractic visits because the owner has a relationship with some Chiropractor. Not even true health insurance.
