Pros

My summer spent as an intern at Athletes' Performance (AP) was one of the best professional experiences of my young career. As an intern at AP, I was rigorously challenged, yet still placed in a position to excel, as they spend a great deal of time preparing you for all involved tasks. The intern curriculum provides an excellent balance of classroom learning, combined with practical experience. By the internship's end, I left as a more self-confident professional in the field of strength and conditioning. AP invests a great deal of time developing their interns; as such, it is a highly rewarding experience and one that should not be missed.

Cons

Communication of intern expectations between the performance specialists and intern coordinator could have been better, as there were occasional contradictions.

Pros

Love the company culture and values. It’s fun to be apart of an innovative company in the health and fitness industry. 90% of the people I have worked with over the years are great people that really know their stuff.

Cons

For the health and fitness industry the benefits and schedules are great for full-time employees but the pay is sometimes a little low. Pay is sometimes based on the account contract and yearly raises are rare, but small increases do occur to help with the increased cost of living.
