Pros

Steady pay and a built-in client base make for some relief in stress. The company concentrates hard on continuing education in regards to strength and conditioning knowledge. Most of the staff they hire is highly qualified and you generally feel like you're working with other quality professionals. Benefits were also pretty good and seem to be getting even better around the time I left. You got quite a bit of paid time off, good bonding leave benefits and a decent retirement plan. The insurance plan was pretty weak though.

Cons

I worked at the company for over 7 years and saw extremely little job growth. The pay was also pretty terrible considering how much you were doing and how highly qualified employees were. It was extremely common to let the corporate clients they work for walk all over them and their employees. EXOS never seemed to put their foot down about anything when it came to the corporations demands where you were stationed full-time, and it was extremely common to be treated like a second class citizen. There's also a very strong cult-like mentality at EXOS. As a company they absolutely hate when people question ANYTHING about the methodology, current practices or ideas coming down from management. This company is just not for critical thinkers. Managers in general tended to work many many hours with very little bump in pay. There was a constant Carrot and Stick routine where it always seemed like the next job opportunity was around the corner only to get there and find that there was no pay raise or a tiny pay raise for an inordinate number of extra hours of work per week. It was very common to move employees all over the country on somewhat short notice and hold it over employee's heads that didn't have the mobility to move on a whim. Most people coming into the company start off extremely excited about EXOS' outward reputation. However, the vast majority that I saw pass through the fairly high turnover system, became disenfranchised fairly quickly once they realized what the situation was. Working there wasn't all bad, I had a TON of great employees I worked with and even a decent manager or two. But overall the company culture is just not for somebody who wants career growth or somebody who is anything but a "Yes"- Man to the managers above them.

Pros

Love the company culture and values. It’s fun to be apart of an innovative company in the health and fitness industry. 90% of the people I have worked with over the years are great people that really know their stuff.

Cons

For the health and fitness industry the benefits and schedules are great for full-time employees but the pay is sometimes a little low. Pay is sometimes based on the account contract and yearly raises are rare, but small increases do occur to help with the increased cost of living.
