Pros

EVE does quality renderings, its a good place to build up portfolio - if you have a courage to take out your work and show it to the world, because the boss thinks you will steal his clients and build up a competition next doors, and you will get legal threats from EVE and random issues about your portfolio long after leaving the company. They actually do have a production workflow, far from perfect, but they have it.

Cons

Sort of international on a production level, but managed exclusively by Germans in their 40's - it is a bit stiff, and you can feel the separation and overall German vibe, some barely speak english. It is far from hip and energetic companies led by young people in this area, but sadly you wont get any better in archviz industry in Berlin. The projects and workload are managed in excell sheet, and the internal communication is handled over the email - take that as a measure. The production team got a bit old and stale over the years. Naturally it is burned out and you can feel that prolonged tension and deadline stress in the air, which leads to tensions on the personal level. Any fresh employee, will get quickly schooled and dragged down by old timers, only to become another toxic and tired person in a production. Any change in a workflow or general techniques will get dropped - you are supposed to do things like the guys who started in 2006, who don't even follow trends, don't understand software updates anymore and get pissed even by those. They don't want to see anyone ruining their order and habits, and management somehow accepts that, because they simply can't find a replacement for the old timers, so nobody wants to make them angrier as long as the new images are being produced on time. If you think any argument or proof of concept is going to convience anyone, you will only find negativity and enemies around yourself for ruining the old order, and quickly put in a position to get fired on a first occasion when there is less work to do. To stay competitive against ever dropping rendering prices, the production is pushed to the limit and maxed out for the entire time. If it ever slows down, you know some lay-offs will happen, and can hit anyone inlcuding permament contract employees. Considering that, half of the company are people sending emails or picking up the phones, or check renderings after another person checking renderings, this is very blown out, it is rarely explained to others what the other half of the office actually does when the rest often leaves the office past 10pm -the efforts and contribution is very disproportional. Seeing project managers and others leaving work at 15-16 o'clock, does not build up good vibe in the ever stressed production carrying all the weight. Not much room to improve or develop the career, just a rough production for the entire time. Your are expected to spit out nice looking rendering every 2 days, and this is the only north star and basically there is nothing beyound that except of christmass party once a year. This and the salary is all you will get here.
