Pros

These comments are specific to individuals working in the civilian, DOD, or state and local markets. Pros are: - Fairly flexible work hours - Ability to balance worklife - Some good people working with the organization - Great location being in the heart of Ballston (fun factor)

Cons

This organization has been compressing since 2004. I had not been privy to all the financials, but it's safe to make a statement that they've missed their budget most every year over the past decade, with the exception possibly of a year or two in the late 2000’s. The government markets team has been taking a beating in lost revenue most every single year for a decade. The DoD market has gone away, they left their contracting curriculum to the mothballs, state and local is “on the run,” which means competition in the Federal Civilian markets will cause them more stress to “make up the gap” and they will see significant competition for multiple organizations. They continue to lose their very best talent to layoffs that were not well thought through, drummed up dismissals for those caught in the political sites of their opponents, or just mismanagement. Under new leadership, having been acquired and now merged with IPS/Stanford, their future does not seem to have brightened. Top sales leaders from the old ESI regime have subsequently left, are shopping their resumes on the street, or looking over their shoulders. Revenues continue to decline and based on the commoditization of the industry, this organization is one that most would question how they will differentiate themselves.
