The list of issues seems never-ending. It often feels like people are not valued and are treated as expendable. In some cases, candidates are interviewed for roles, rejected, and later find themselves reporting to the same individuals without any prior communication or context. There is also a perception that personal relationships and connections can have a greater influence on career progression than performance or contributions. As a result, significant effort, dedication, and years of service can feel overlooked, while employees and even their roles are frequently questioned. Unfortunately, some managers appear more focused on protecting their own positions than supporting and advocating for their teams, which can have a negative impact on morale and trust.
