Pros
Good opportunities, challenging and stimulating. Good network of people with technical expertise in various fields. Co-workers are great too; people are open to discussion and healthy debate on project issues. Health and Safety matters are recognised and taken seriously.
Cons
Fairly little support for training and one does have to be very proactively in sourcing own opportunities. Not a con, but in ERM the onus is really on the individual to shape their own career. Opportunities are available, but the worker has to be proactive and diligent. Recruiting processes can be slow and there is no proper induction to HR systems, benefits packages, IT systems, project software for new hires.
