Pros
Nice salary and benefits Relatively stable (although many changes have been implemented in the last years with many more expected to come).
Cons
No HR policy exists whatsoever regarding the use of the human resources at the EPO. There are currently at least 100 staff without any work (mostly management but also experts) and also without any idea on what they will need to do in future. No HR plan is existing to reintroduce these staff. Additionally, there are many staff with skills that would be beneficial to the organisation but which are completely disregarded for lack of flexibility and courage.
