Pros

There's work and they pay. So that's something. Otherwise, not much.

Cons

I had a serious accident. HR basically pushed their way into my hospital room and told me to sign papers for WSIB after I had been hit in the head and rushed in by ambulance. I said I couldn't read them. She supposedly read them to me so I signed. She didn;t even read one of the papers at all. I was confused and hurt and I made a mistake listening to her. Now I am going to be fighting with WSIB for a serious claim and all so that they can not pay bigger premiums. Serves me right for trusting a construction company.

Pros

The work can be challenging but also fulfilling at the same time and many opportunities and resources to learn. The pay and benefits are a little above average.

Cons

The culture has adversely changed where it used to be cooperative but now it is more cut-throat and many things are not communicated properly and an imbalance of responsibility and accountability which is causing conflict. There are many "exceptions".
