Pros

Fair wages Not too fast or slow paced Can be a fun workplace if you get along well with coworkers Eight hour work days as opposed to 12, if you prefer that schedule Free healthcare and other great benefits

Cons

Often short staffed, so lots of dependency on agency nurses and CNAs who may not be familiar with clients. Twelve hour work days as opposed to 8, if you prefer 12s Communication is iffy, but improving Use of technology is a bit behind other agencies, but this is also improving

Pros

I love knowing that I am making a difference in lives every day. The insurance and benefits are absolutely unmatched. Free health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance. Plus an amazing pension.

Cons

The work can be difficult and challenging, but I know I make a difference in the lives of others.

Pros

The clients are super. They make everything else almost worth it. Free health insurance and it's pretty comprehensive. They do have some good employees working there, but can be far and few between.

Cons

Mgmt. is a nightmare. Communication is subpar at best. They did away with raises based on time worked there and the past few years those just coming into the agency make the same as many of those who have been there for 3, 4, and 5 years. Don't look for bonuses or raises based on merit. It's union so the raises are across the board.
