Pros

You get to meet high-end clientele

Cons

Everything about working for this company is a nightmare. Not only do they overwork (MINIMUM 60 HRS A WEEK) and underpay (LOW SALARY & THEY DO NOT PAY OVERTIME), they scold you for asking for time off or mentioning that you don't enjoy certain aspects of your position. The company culture here is fear. Fear of losing your job for saying the wrong thing, fear of getting yelled at for mentioning you're tired, fear to ask for more money. They continuously have you doing mind numbing tasks and they are COMPLETELY SHADY with money. Oh, and if you want to get paid on time... you better be up for travelling to wherever they are at the time to pick up your check. There are many other ways in which working for this company can be described a hell... but there is a reason why they have a high turnover rate.

Pros

Absolutely love this company. Been working here for over 5 years now, coming from the corporate sector I enjoy the work vibe, not stuffy, creative, innovative, and ability to work with absolutely amazing clients and people. I have learned a lot about the events industry since joining the team, have been able to grow and am happy with the pay structure.

Cons

Don't really have any. I love event planning but to flag being in events is not a 9am - 5pm, which I am happy about but it's not for everyone.

Pros

- Late starting hours - Going to corporate events to learn about industry (rare occasions) - Occasional free meals and coffee - Fun work if you're interested in partying

Cons

- No chance of growth - Basically a party promoter - Hours go late into the night on weekends for clubbing events (every weekend) I took this job thinking it was an internship for me to learn more about event planning and marketing. However I was stuck with full time hours on crap stipend... I just sent emails about party invites and made cold calls to everyone on lists about them winning parties...
