Pros
We have amazing, dedicated and caring people. While we may stumble on the intensity of the workload - the intentions of upper management are to create a company that succeeds by bringing great intelligence to our clients and great integrity and commitment to our team mates. We try to be extremely flexible and considerate wherever we can, and the work that we do is demanding and has frequent time pressures. We are far from perfect, but we are deeply committed to learning from what we do - and getting better every day! We are most sincerely interested in what every employee believes and needs,
Cons
The "virtual" nature of our company is something that many love, but also makes it more challenging to create a common vision and to understand just how committed everyone is to doing right by each other. The work that we do requires technical expertise, a constant understanding of the clients needs and expectations, and often comes with tight timelines. And, the fact that we deliver sets us apart. Finding a good work-life balance can be trying, but is ultimately up to every individual. We want to support it as a company, but we struggle to initiate it. We are adults and we are professionals, and I seldom if ever turn down a request that assists an employee in improving their work-life balance. Meaningful change takes time... persistence and stamina.
