Great company, great people - Head of Research EIM Employee Review

Really lovely office location. EIM are actually pretty good at what they do - it's a valuable service and their interim managers are vetted well before being put forward for any roles.

The MD of the London office. I had the opportunity to work for him for 4 months but it look me less than one month to realise that I had made an awful mistake. The London office is a very small team (4 people at one stage) so one bad apple really does mar the entire environment. It is an invidious, stiffling environment where the MD spends more time criticizing others and belittling fellow staff by both verbal and written means. His management style is akin to Mr Mannering but without the entertainment factor. I may sound like an embittered employee, but it has taken me two years to decide whether to write this as this is really not my style, but I do feel strongly that people deserve to be treated with respect which was absolutely not the case at EIM.

Strong client and candidate lists, global company

EIM London is a truly toxic environment. The management makes it impossible to succeed and positive feedback is non existent. The level of barely masked racism and misogyny is mind blowing in 2021, as is the abject rejection of any modernisation or innovation. Staff members are ground down to the point where you start to believe you deserve the terrible treatment, meanwhile the senior partner awards himself huge bonuses without even a thank you to the employees - something that even when flagged to the global board was ignored and, it appears, encouraged. Staff well-being measures and suggestions are laughed out of the door and replaced with expletive filled rants and direct personal insults. Leaving this company is the best thing I’ve ever done for my mental health and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
