Pros

Management at the time was willing to help you develop in your role, but the opportunities for real advancement and growth were limited.

Cons

I was hired under a bit of a bait and switch scheme. I was promised a lot to get me to move to china, but then found the job and benefits to be much different than described, but couldn't afford to move back. I feel a little bit better knowing that it wasn't just me that fell for it, since I saw that happen with almost everyone that was hired after me. Unsurprisingly, people weren't happy about working there, so the culture was very negative.

Pros

there are no pros of working at this company unless you want to get scammed.

Cons

this company is also known as new pathway education & technology group. it got sued by its teachers and lost and they tried to sweep it under the rug but everyone knew. they only care about money, refused to pay overtime, refused to reimburse, etc. they hired teachers who scammed other teachers and would not fire them because they did not care about its employees welfare. they also refuse to hire black teachers. they are banned from hiring from top american colleges now because former employees banned them from doing so. it is china, so they do whatever they want and exploit foreigners. if you quit, they will withhold your paycheck. they will also withhold your paycheck for no reason. when i completed my contract, i had to fight them for my whole paycheck. i lost over a full paycheck because another employee scammed me and the company would not fire him. they try to keep white teachers. they force you to work overtime without any pay. i was asked to do work while i was on vacation. i worked on christmas and 14 days in a row at a time. sometimes you get like 5 days off and then they overload you with work and do not count prep time. i would not recommend to anyone. in the end i lost money by working here.
