Pros

WFH (Sometimes), Some good perks but at the sacrifice of your sanity and time

Cons

Extremely toxic staff, particularly leadership. Controlling, and demand you be available for them 24/7. Unprofessional behavior, that wouldn't fly in most places. Unethical business practices. Pay is low. Was gaslit constantly. Was forced to talk about my coworkers without them present. Extremely unforgiving to everyone about everything. My advice - run. As far away as you can. And as fast as you can. No paycheck is worth it, I promise you that.

Cons

run, run, run. - no company direction or clear goals - overbearing and condescending managers - next to no training, yet expectations are unrealistically high - will not pay employees on time causing major conflict and stress - low pay (if you even get paid) - unhappy clients that employees are left to deal with for the faults of their superiors - high turnover - no sense of company culture - unethical and guilt ridden management practices - CEO The list goes on.

Pros

If you would have asked me when I started, I would have given you so many reasons. Upon the several months (up to a year) prior to my departure, most of my positive notions about iSC had faded.

Cons

In my role, I unfortunately learned far more about the innerworkings and strategy for the company than I would have cared to. So much of the behind the scenes was negative and lacked promise. I saw turnover at a rapid rate since I started at iSC. And no one came back in to fill the positions lost resulting in doubling and tripling the workload of the remaining team, particularly in the partnerships and marketing divisions who were hardest hit, overworked, and unhappy. I witnessed employee satisfaction drop every day and the trust in leadership plummet when instances like months long salary halts (i.e. PEOPLE WERE NOT PAID FOR MONTHS AT A TIME. Yet, productivity was expected to rise....make it make sense????), aggressive micromanagement, unclear goals/direction for the company, and poor training models came into play. Myself in particular, asked repeatedly for realistic goal setting ideas and objectives when my job and responsibilities significantly changed over the course of my tenure, only to be met with silence. And I'm not exaggerating, my ideas and questions would go unanswered for days/weeks at at time, if ever at all. The mentality of "figure it out on your own", can be beneficial when someone is given adequate resources to thrive. Not to say I didn't experience any guidance/training, it just wasn't ultimately successful or followed through with. So I stopped caring, and I stopped caring a long time ago. There were so many terrible company culture aspects and unwilling personas working against me. I envy the vast majority of the team who had the courage to leave much sooner than myself.
