      Pros

      Having been with the company for a good time (think years), I can say that EDB is in the best shape I've seen it. Aggressive pursuit of the open source and open core market in a time where Postgres is the darling of the DBMS world. The team here is motivated to succeed, and has the smarts to do it. Now is an exciting time to be part of the journey!

      Cons

      Commute - but no worse than any other Bedford/Burlington company.

      Pros

      - Access to several great sales tools and platforms - Decent pay - EDB is well respected in the Postgres community - Working to innovate quickly

      Cons

      - Most of the leadership lacks technical data expertise which creates friction in the sales motions and positioning. - Currently a small total addressable market. EDB does not compete well with cloud competitors and primarily is geared towards on-prem Postgres in a market that continues to migrate to the cloud. - High turnover across the sales org. - Long, difficult sales motion accompanied by expectations for quick wins.
