Pros

1. Everyone may work remotely from home.

Cons

1. The priorities for Human Resources are alarmingly imbalanced and discriminatory. The CHRO has openly stated that her goals are tied to diversity targets. 2. The executive team makes arbitrary, destabilizing decisions, resulting in a ridiculous rate of employee turnover. After nearly three years with the new team, long-term employees (3+ years) are nearly extinct.

Thank you for sharing your perspective; we are committed to building an inclusive and transparent culture. We are glad you appreciated the flexibility of our remote work environment. To ensure accuracy, we want to clarify that our attrition rate is consistently lower than the market average, and we have a healthy percentage of long-term employees. We also want to be unequivocally clear: we support authentic transparency and do not incentivize or coerce reviews on Glassdoor or any other platform. Our leadership is deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, as demonstrated by initiatives like our Employee Resource Groups, EDBiasFree Committee, and more. While we see you’re listed as a former employee, the lines of communication remain open. We encourage you to reach out directly to our People team if you would like to discuss your experience further.

Pros

- Access to several great sales tools and platforms - Decent pay - EDB is well respected in the Postgres community - Working to innovate quickly

Cons

- Most of the leadership lacks technical data expertise which creates friction in the sales motions and positioning. - Currently a small total addressable market. EDB does not compete well with cloud competitors and primarily is geared towards on-prem Postgres in a market that continues to migrate to the cloud. - High turnover across the sales org. - Long, difficult sales motion accompanied by expectations for quick wins.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed and constructive feedback. We are pleased to see your positive notes on our tooling, compensation, and community respect. However, we take your concerns regarding sales turnover, leadership alignment, and our market positioning seriously. As the market evolves, we are continuously adapting our strategies and leadership support to reduce friction for our sales organization. We value this feedback as it helps us improve our internal culture and sales enablement.
