Dear Colleague,
Many thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I’m pleased that you’ve had a positive experience with our students.
Regarding your other comments, I’d like to address each in turn. Firstly, you state that there are no opportunities for growth, but very recently there was an ADoS position available at EC New York which was announced internally; there were no applications from EC New York teachers.
In relation to your comments on consultation, teachers are being consulted via teachers meetings, focus groups and other channels. Just recently, the Center Director has initiated additional one-to-one meetings with the teachers to consult and obtain their feedback on a number of issues. The EC New York management team use student data to implement positive change.
With building access, the building security rules are established by the building administration and supported by EC rules. If any employee needs access to the building for professional purposes beyond working hours, EC NY admin staff members with access are able to accompany the employee to the building.
The ‘no food, no drink in the classroom’ policy is in place because the new classrooms have carpets, and the management team at EC New York want to keep the learning environment clean and tidy for our students. It’s a fairly standard policy.
Finally, can I just reiterate that at EC we recognise that our teachers are the life-blood of our organisation. They are the main point of contact for our students, and our business relies on the delivery of high-quality education and first-class customer service.
We actively encourage all employees to ask questions, discuss suggestions, and address problems or concerns. Thank you for taking the time to share your views with us – should you wish to discuss your concerns directly, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me.
