Pros

Free parking, near train station and clean.

Cons

Ignorance from management, clique culture, no progression the list is endless. From the top down its clear that nothing was going to be completely legitimate. Just recently Ofgem were investigating E having tried to take on 30,000 customers from Economy Energy as they were going bust! Sure it was dropped, but only because the customers were returned. There is no progression. Promotion from within is non-existent as they aren't willing to give current staff that opportunity as they "cannot support them" at this time of growth within the business.  Choosing to require 2 years of management experience, to which is unfair on the few that have so much more than being a CSR or floor walker! The most recent managers were outsourced, regardless of any experience in energy. This leads to staff being more knowledgeable than the managers, and with the recent managers not being great at their job, has bred contempt. Leading to an atmosphere on the floor. The cliquey nature is a large factor within E as to why talent, new or old, isn't embraced or used. The network of cliques and groups have been created, not necessarily by design, to feed back info to management and keep employees, as a director of the company put it, "in their place". The fear that someone with knowledge, experience or talent may push the person's in charge out or, more to the point, expose them is another factor as to why nothing will  progress or grow within E. If anything it will be the downfall of the company. Especially in the current climate of energy suppliers going out of business. If you want to excel within the energy industry, don't work here.

Pros

-Fun and exciting industry -Fast paced environment so there is never a dull moment -Many options and paths for growing your career -Fantastic employee training and development -Great benefits -A company that cares about their employees

Cons

Because the winery attracts and hires highly motivated and driven individuals, it's easy for your workload to grow beyond your capacity. It's important to keep an open dialogue with management about balancing priorities to maintain reasonable work life balance and not feel overextended.
