Pros
None, I had high expectations, unfortunately just disappointment and waste of my time
Cons
They tried to pressure me into committing to the Harvey Nichols high jewellery project, which was far too much work for temporary staff. When I refused to do five days a week there, they punished me by cutting off my shifts altogether. On top of that, their system is bizarre: if several people apply for the same shift, managers “choose” who they think is best for the role. Excuse me? You already interviewed me and checked my references, so clearly I’m qualified—especially since Harvey Nichols specifically wanted me. There isn’t even enough work, and most of it is at Selfridges or Harrods, which require separate store approval. For the record, I don’t need them—I’ve already moved to a better, more established agency and have two job offers lined up. So really, the joke’s on them.
