Pros

The pay at my location was average to slightly low for my area, which I accepted because I knew I’d be moving in a few months and would have trouble getting hired at some better-paying places with similarly low entry requirements.

Cons

The staff is decently friendly, but I regularly work 8 hour shifts and have never taken even a 5 minute break. At our location, the culture is such that you don’t step away from your position for more than 30 seconds to get a drink of water, so it’s not unusual that none of us eat during the day. It’s also more or less expected that you stay later than scheduled if asked, which can be frustrating when you start at 4 am. Work conditions might be better when we’re better staffed, but I doubt it.

Pros

Every once in a while you are granted a 15 minute break

Cons

There are significant concerns regarding management’s leadership and communication practices. Employees often receive criticism in a manner that feels disrespectful rather than constructive, and support from management is limited despite high expectations placed on staff. Professional boundaries are also a concern, as discussions between management and employees about employees occur inappropriately among coworkers. Greater emphasis on respectful communication, employee support, and professionalism would help foster a more positive workplace culture. They also promise pay, after employees were not paid correctly management basically state “too bad I can’t fix it” even though that is illegal in the state of VA.
