      Pros

      Duke has a beautiful campus and a great graduate community with individuals from all backgrounds. Duke has more graduate students than undergraduate which helps to make you not feel so old as a graduate student haha. Research here is very collaborative and interdisciplinary.

      Cons

      Coursework could be better and the city of Durham, although charming, is a bit underwhelming.

      - Great benefits - Beautiful campus - School spirit and pride in the university amongst staff, faculty, and students

      Cons

      It depends on what area or department you work in. I worked at the Health Policy Center on the Education Team within Duke University and it was not a good environment to work in at all. Being at Duke is what made is better but within the health policy center, there were a lot of biases and politics that made is extremely challenging to be happy there.
