Pros

I have been with Dudick going on 11 years and it is one of the best companies I have worked for. I travel for the company and attend many tradeshows throughout the year. Over and over again I hear from contacts such as Architect/Engineer firms, GC's and owner contacts how good our reputation is in the industry as far as standing behind our porduct and doing whatever it takes to make our client happy and satisfied with the final install. Most of that credit goes to our president/Tom Dudick for emphasizing to his employees the importance of a good quality product and meeting the customers needs. Tom has been in business for 40 + years and we have customers that date back to the start of our company. Tom is bringing up his 2 sons through the ranks to eventually run the company. Both are very well educated in the coatings industry and have learned from their father the importance of his employees and customers. It is a great company to work for and I would not want to be anywhere else.

Cons

There are no downsides to working at Dudick.

Pros

Dudick is a small family business. Dudick has roughly 18 employees, who are mostly nice, helpful, and fun.

Cons

The business founder is exiting the business, and transitioning management to a son that only has a few years of experience in the industry, and no general business experience at all. Other family members are employed in the business and it is the classic scenario of family members pulling very little weight. During the recruiting process, many promises were made to me about advancement in the company. I relied on those promises and left a good job, only to find out that the promises were not going to be kept. The business founder tells many tall tales, and does not possess a high level of integrity in his business dealings. The company does not have a good reputation with customers, and fortunately, I was able to find another job.
