Pros
As a designer, I’m involved early in discussions around problem framing, user journeys, and product strategy, especially for Microsoft 365 backup/archiver and customer portals. It’s rewarding to see design decisions connecting directly to measurable outcomes. Working remotely is well-supported. Communication mostly happens asynchronously and teammates are used to collaborating across time zones, which is helpful for work–life balance.
Cons
Some product or design processes (UX research cadence, design documentation, design system consistency) are still evolving. There are moments where alignment or documentation could be stronger, especially across multiple scrum teams or portals.
