Pros

The only redeeming quality is I had good peers. No bond is closer than a cohort of people that survived a toxic company together.

Cons

They were belitting and rude. They kept horrible Clevels in every department on way too long as good leaders left, were down-leveled or were forced out because they were threatened by them. This still makes me sad to think about. It completely deteriorated my trust in the company and their leadership. They brought in their 'friends" and it got even worse. There were retaliatory measures taken when we went to HR and took anonymous surveys. Product is high churn, and csm team is blamed heavily, while more customers are loaded onto them. It's not the fact that things change a lot...that's expected in a fast growing business but they are horrible at change management, communication, accountability, and decision making frameworks, which is the foundation of good leadership. I never heard an ounce of humility or anyone in leadership admit they made mistakes. If you offer suggestions, you are gaslit and told that 'not everyone is ment for a fast paced business.' Awareness of the company has shrunk in the past 2 years. We had good customers when i started but towards the end of my tenure, they were always upset about product changes and renewals. Sales is treated as holy, and can do no wrong, and they just keep adding reps to try and get growth and let the CSMs deal with it. Lastly, they are unhealthily obsessd with competitors. And a lot of the enterprise logos on the site were paying little for Safebase when Drata acquired them and aren't platform users.

Pros

Drata’s remote first culture attracts many talented engineers across the globe. It’s amazing to be able to work with people from almost every continent and feel like you are all in the same virtual room. There are lots of opportunities to mentor and learn especially given the unique product requirements and timing around the rise of AI.

Cons

Being part of a startup is always chaotic and challenging. Some people thrive while others struggle to keep up. That’s the name of the game.

Pros

Good training and enablement, great teammates.

Cons

Management was a bit confused. Frequent disconnects between mid level management and the lower level teams. Poor communication overall.
