      Toxic culture, lack of leadership - Procurement Domtar Employee Review

      Not many positives other than salary

      Cons

      Toxic culture, old school management that doesn’t care about employees, only care about shareholders. Profits over people. They waste money everywhere but don’t reward their employees for long hours, working weekends and working during holidays. Expectations are extreme, on call availability is just a given.

      Pros

      Close knit excellent maintenance teams that seem to do the impossible with the amount of understaffing over the years. Couldn't ask for a better place or people to work with. I have loved my time at this mill. Domtar has no idea at the quality of the institution\people that they are casting off into the abyss.

      Cons

      The corporation as a whole I am not a fan of. It seems they acquired Resolute FP to strategically dismantle it. They have closed several of the RFP mills and Coosa Pines an absolute institution that has been the backbone of the community for over 75 years is the next on the chopping block in May 2026.
