Pros
Everyone is so nice, and the atmosphere is so proffesional and courteous. If you can get on direct, its a great career path. I would say 75% of the workforce will be retiring in the next 15 years, so if you can get on and stay on till then your set!
Cons
Getting on direct is near impossible. The waiting list of drafters with engineering degrees, as well as designers who have been contractors for twenty years waiting to go direct is long, at least in the fossil and hydro engineering department. Also, if the work your assigned to is file management, its mostly pdfs, and that can get very boring.
