Pros

Some excellent coworkers and cool projects Full time pay was ok and benefits were pretty good.

Cons

I worked for a lot of boys clubs in my time, but this one was pretty next level in how obvious it was that the male leadership took their male employees more seriously. I was recruited with the promise of $100,000 a year and until my eighth interview that was the amount I was under the impression that the position offered. It wasn’t until I received the offer letter that I realized it was only $85k. Then they dangled the 15,000 as potential bonus if I hit my numbers then they assigned me accounts and work to ensure that I would never hit those numbers. It was only when my male coworker left and I was assigned his accounts that I finally gained some ground on my goals that was about the time they let me go to replace me with South American contractors. Management was heinously rude to the point of making people cry, and then would stand there acting surprised, and say it was because they were French, that they were just so honest. I was accused of being arrogant and thinking myself smarter than the engineering team because I said they could not design a program to beat meta‘s advertising algorithm. They would sell leads for less than we could acquire them, and then complain that it was so much cheaper to operate in France. The CEO hired his wife to run personality tests on the entire staff and had planned for that to be the holiday party until a member of the team said that that would look really bad. On top of that, they completely messed up my tax paperwork and I had to appeal to the IRS for tens of thousands in owed taxes because of Dolead’s poor bookkeeping.

Pros

1. Monthly Parties 2. Central office location 3. Metro Access

Cons

1. No employee feedback loop 2. The CEO does not respond to your request for a conversation prior to your departure, while he is able to find time to attend after-hours parties in farm animal costumes. 3. I personally had a really unprofessional micro-manager who tried to assume a student-teacher role. Even made me feel stupid when I shared my negative experience with the team. 4. Underpaid positions. 5. A non-existent company culture will be spoken about in high regard throughout the hiring process. Once you are hired, your experience totally depends on your immediate manager. They could be less experienced than you and might not really want what's best for you in your career.
