Pros

Helpful peers, whether it's technical engineering questions or cross-department insight. If you have questions or concerns, the team as a whole is willing to help. While already well-established in the cloud, the potential to grow, enhance and revitalize their cloud footprint is top of mind for the company. Dog friendly office environment. High-level company financial health and overall vision is available if you desire that knowledge. Technical challenges are met with honest discussion and the varied viewpoints, from both seniors and juniors, from front/backend devs and QA, are all welcomed. Pay & Benefits are on par with the industry. Flexible WFH is a plus. Office Location is currently fine. Customer base is solid, diverse, and growing; which lends towards operational stability. The overall company on-boarding process is great; with plenty of opportunity to meet the team and understand the value we provide. While there might be some tribal knowledge, the engineers are more than willing to dive into any area and work together to solve customer issues.

Cons

Technical documentation to bring new people up to speed could be improved. Siloed tribal knowledge within some engineering stacks. Nothing egregious and is negated by a pro mentioned above. The eng team works well together.

Pros

- Wonderful team of like minded people who support each other in every way. - Excellent time off strategy and a big focus on personal well being and work-life balance, where appropriate. - Leadership is very understanding of personal circumstances and very willing to help you work through things that come up. - Leadership, including Team Leads, are exceptionally open and honest about all aspects of the business, which is quite refreshing. - Team Leads make a continuous effort to check in and offer support and even training when desired. - Primarily remote with one day per week in-office, with the option to come in more frequently if desired. The company buys lunch for the team on every weekly in-office day

Cons

- Work has a tendency to fall deeply into the "grind culture" in the sense that you will likely be in a continuous state of having 8+ days worth of things to do in a 5 day period. - Restructuring and semi-frequent paradigm shifts that lead to team frustration and confusion. - Product vision and feature prioritization can be a moving target at times, often swayed on short notice by the wants of the bigger customers. This can lead to delays, team frustration, and mounting tech debt. - By and large understaffed for the workload needed. - Depending on the department, you will likely find many instances of "This could have been an email" meetings, sometimes making it hard to find some solid hours of being able to focus and work uninterrupted.
