Pros

Good colleagues. Good commission structure. Good sales support such as solution architects. Inbound BDR’s. Good place if you want a standard 9-5 and earn some Decent money. Pro and con dependent on what you want.

Cons

Zero outbound support. Can’t expect OBDR’s to stay if you base their commission structure on an AE qualifying opps. Think about how to be flexible with the process as by being so strict I believe you stall individual AE creativity and create process drones which amongst other things is frankly boring. Think about SC support. Do they need to be so involved in the process or should they be involved at an AE’s discretion. Should be the latter if you expect AE’s to work on a 1-4, for a short period of time 1-7. Ratio. Time is the only thing salespeople can control so making sales people so reliant on SC’s inevitably pushes the timeline to closer. Speak of culture but never see anything in action. Look I get it you’re a public company that needs to shows growth to your shareholders. I’d be more content if you just say all we care about is money than putting on a show talking about culture and nothing be done to show it.

Pros

Base salary is OK Benefits are good Commission and bonuses can be good

Cons

Changing bonus structure after a quarter starts, there are times when you will lose commission unfairly. You are responsible for everything, be prepared to have to do everything even if it's out of the scope of the CSM role and be accountable for everything. Leadership does not help, only questions you, doesn't provide any guidance only criticizes you and they will criticize you in front of others and often No work/life balance, leadership works all of the time and they will question if something slips because you weren't on top of it. I think the expectation is everyone has to work all of the time. No vacation time, good luck taking time off and actually being able to step away. CSMs have way too many accounts, there is a lot of turnover on this team and it's because of leadership. CSMs are toxic and do not support each other Leadership thinks CSMs should be on calls all day but also be strategic and proactive. If you want to stay ahead be prepared to work evenings and weekends. I don't see how this company will continue to grow in it's current model, it's like working at a high school where popularity is more valuable than performance. No growth opportunities for CSMs.
