Pros

Work from home equipment provided Opportunity to learn in other departments The job has a big social impact helping patients

Cons

Biting off more than it can chew. Often overpromsing current or new clients without adequate planning of resources for implementation and support Tech rollouts have not been managed well, leaving staff and clients frustrated when staff are left fire-fighting unexpected issues The amount of comms per day is anxiety-inducing. Staff often have to check comms on days off for fear of being unable to catch up on their return to work The workload on the PS Team has become excessive because of some of the issues mentioned previously. The seemingly inability of the company to say no or turn down projects, rushing into projects without proper planning. All of which add unnecessary pressure to teams who also have to ensure this excessive work and comms is dealt with accurately and quickly, in order to adhere to KPI's. Any deviation from KPI baseline then becomes an issue.

Pros

Hmmm, I'll have to get back to you on that one

Cons

If you've ever wondered what happens when talented people, good intentions, and questionable leadership all collide, this is your chance to find out. The mission is inspirational. The people joining the business are intelligent, capable, and genuinely want to make a difference. Unfortunately, enthusiasm has a remarkably short shelf life. Innovation is encouraged, provided it has already been thought of by someone more senior. Expertise is welcomed, right up until it becomes inconvenient. Constructive challenge is celebrated in theory, but in practice is treated like an unexpected system outage. Processes exist in a fascinating quantum state: simultaneously "critical" and "optional," depending entirely on who suggested following them. Governance is often viewed as something that slows down progress, despite its inconvenient habit of preventing avoidable mistakes. The organisation doesn't seem to have a retention problem so much as a remarkable ability to convince capable people that their talents would be better appreciated literally anywhere else. On the plus side, you'll develop resilience, diplomacy, and an impressive ability to smile while watching entirely predictable problems unfold in real time.

Pros

Very admirable mission with dedicated clinical staff

Cons

Slight cult energy at this place, rapid growth has created challenges with communication, role clarity and consistency of processes. Priorities can change quickly, which can make planning difficult, and some teams may experience frequent shifts in direction as the organisation continues to evolve. The mission is clearly important to the business and is communicated regularly, perhaps very regularly at times. Employees who thrive in fast-moving startup environments and are comfortable with ambiguity are likely to enjoy the experience more than those who prefer structure, established processes and clearly defined responsibilities.
