Pros

Management is dedicated and more than happy to listen. Lots of room to learn especially if new to the field. Doctors and other staff are easy to work with if your work is quality. Other coordinators are more than willing to help you out. Overall a very good company with only some of the normal tropes of employment. You will work but will be recognized for it. Note: Does hiring mostly on whether or not they think you will be a good addition to the team, not experience or education. Although those are always preferred.

Cons

Be prepared to wear all of the hats. As a coordination you will do just about everything for your site/location. Recruitment, regulatory, subject visits, communication with sponsors, data management. I do not view this as a bad thing since it gives you a lot of autonomy and they give you the freedom to manage your site for the most part but I know that many people will shy away from the work load. Will work 40+ a week with out a doubt if you want to be successful. Only things that could definitely improve are the PTO and Benefits. Benefits are expensive while they do have a good carrier. PTO is based on an hourly structure even though nearly all employees are salaried, and you don’t get much at all the first few years.

Pros

If you're looking to actually learn how clinical trials work, and not just push paper, DocTrials is amazing for it. I really appreciated how encouraging they were to newcomers to the field! As a CRC there, I got way more hands-on experience than I expected which has been incredibly valuable for my future career. I had four clinical trials I oversaw which I thought was very reasonable. In addition, I also had the opportunity to learn how other companies run their trials I came to really appreciate how well run DocTrials is. I will say, the pace is really fast, but looking back I think it is what made me an amazing CRC and also a great clinician in my current career. The team is amazing and they actually trust you with real responsibility. Would def recommend working here!

Cons

The learning curve was a lot! You also wear a lot of hats which was great for autonomy and experience, sometimes stressful. This is probably just due to the nature of the work though

Pros

It was a great company to get started in research. Management could improve but overall it was great. It gave me good experience and insight into the research world.

Cons

Not very good benefits, but no complaints. Salary wasn’t that good.
