      Pros

      Working in 911, I have the chance to help save lives – it feels heroic at times. I feel like the work I do is contributing to make the world a better place. If I ever had doubts about whether being an EMT was the right path for me, they've been completely erased by my experience here.

      Cons

      Extending orientation at the beginning would make sure new staff can learn the ropes faster.
