Pros

The culture is fun, and we have great benefits. Honestly for the most part I do love working for Disruptive and with the people around me

Cons

The CEO created another business that he is making all employees of DA use and pay for. This is a serious time and emotional energy commitment every single week. Although I do believe in the business and want to particiate, it feels very wrong to force (yes, we have no choice) to commit to such when we have so much going on with a restructure, and so much going on in our lives that leadership doesnt know about. I wish it was at least optional, but since its not, it feels like something Jake is doing to make money off of us. When asked if we had to he said "if you dont want to take the courses, maybe you arent a good fit for Disruptive" which honestly was really jarring. Leadership truly, truly doesnt understand how things actually work for the people doing the jobs. They made decisions and have opinions that make no sense to the majority, but I do appreciate them trying to get feedback and learn.

I’m happy to hear you enjoy the culture, benefits, and people you work with, and thank you for sharing your concerns as well. I want to acknowledge how you’re feeling and also need to state that many of your concerns are simply not accurate. Our training program with Disruptive University is not a different business nor does it require employees to pay for it, it’s our internal training program to help develop our employees as people and marketers that we are also now providing to people outside of the agency as well. Yes, we require everyone at the agency to go through our training program because it’s how we conduct our business. We realize and are sensitive to the fact that it is an additional time commitment, so we provided a 6-month advance notice for people who had not completed the training to choose their best start date. With all that being said, let’s work together to find a solution that sets you up for success with the support you need; we’re on the same team.

Pros

No back biting, cut throat behavior that typically exists at other agencies. Genuinely good people work here. If you're smart you'll grow.

Cons

Talking about the future and not fixing today's problems can really hurt morale.

Pros

The training materials were solid and the onboarding process actually made sense when I started.

Cons

• The turnover is the most damaging part of this place, with people constantly coming and going. • New hires come in, get trained for a few weeks, then leave, forcing constant onboarding while still trying to meet performance targets. • I went through four different account managers in two years, which destroyed any chance of building stable working relationships. • Constant staff changes made it nearly impossible to build anything reliable because support kept collapsing. • Management treats constant departures as normal and not something worth addressing. • The instability forces remaining employees to carry the burden of being the only consistent presence for others.
