Dishoom has a word to describe a kind of 'treat everyone like family' attitude that is central to everything - Seva. I've never worked for a company that sticks so closely to their values and culture as Dishoom. Open hearted, giving and passionate in everything. This goes from treatment of team with the fair pay, team events, generous discounts to treatment of guests, welcoming all feedback and doing everything possible to resolve issues by leaning in. My own experience has been one of utter support. I started as a Server just over one year ago. At every opening I was encouraged to step into new opportunities, I moved from Server to Supervisor, and then to become Head Server. Recently I have moved from Head Server to Floor Manager. My progression is just one of many stories I know of others who wanted more, and were offered the chance to try. Work hard and you can expect to grow.
Cons
Incredibly busy - Dishoom demands everyone gives their all every single shift, expect entire body exhaustion daily. Days off are rarely used for anything but giving yourself a chance to rest completely. With this though comes the satisfaction in knowing you pushed yourself and did your best.
