Pros

I had some good colleagues. These won't be found at Discussion Box anymore as they have all left for similar reasons.

Cons

- Toxic leadership from the top - The Owner is not involved in the day-to-day business but is worshipped by middle management. Some people worked there for 6 months and never met her - Gaslighting from management that encouraged staff to turn on people who had left the business - Terrible commission structure that doesn't offer staff any of the earning potential they are promised, even with the best results - False personas throughout the business, including a fake CFO that they would deliberately lie to your face about, as well as staff being encouraged to create fake LinkedIn accounts of women - Riding the coattails of a strong first year. 2022 financial year didn't touch anywhere near the $1m they hit in year one - Someone high up in the business is known across the industry for their manipulative behaviour - Payslips not provided within a legal timeframe - Have turned many people away from the events industry, with some having been involved for years - "DB2" (a supposed teleconferencing software and the main focus of the owner) has failed to meet launch deadlines multiple times - This project is also well past its sell-by-date and won't be successful in today's market, as proved by the mass layoffs in this field over the last 12 months
