Pros

I got better at placing boundaries and not caring so much. I really did like most of my coworkers, their HR team is truly great, but it was understood that the CEO would shift any departmental decision on a dime which made it impossible for any real leadership from anyone else on the team to actually stick.

Cons

I’ve never left a job this quickly. This is the most unorganized place I have ever seen in my 10+ years as a creative professional. During my time at Night I was expected to produce and manage 25+ packaging projects + email, website and social campaign strategy + copywrite everything including sales pitches (which required extensive market research) at **one time**. And all without visibility to constantly changing deadlines, or priorities. I begged from day one to implement a standard creative brief, process and calendar with a project management software. The bare minimum needed for so many moving parts but I never received support in any of these initiatives no matter how many hoops I jumped through to try to be taken seriously. I was in a director level position but was treated like a junior designer. If you do take a job there, get ready for daily chaos and to work over hours most days. The current expected hours are 9-6 which is already late if you have a family or a life you’d like to enjoy outside of work. In meetings you are tested and called out constantly, everyone was on edge just waiting to see if they were to answer some random question that may or may not be relevant to their role. One time my partner overheard a meeting I was in and the way I was talked to by the CEO and he was shocked that I anyone could be treated that way in a professional environment. Best of luck to whoever tries to get this place in shape.

Pros

Freedom to embrace your inner entrepreneurial spirit, and bring good ideas to the top management that will be listened to and encouraged. The only limit at this company is the ones you put on yourself. Positive outcomes are rewarded and the team has a good balance of experience and spirit to help aid any initiatives brought to the table. If you want a chance to earn your keep and prove your worth, the CEO will always back you.

Cons

As a growing company, there are not as many systems that you may be used to at larger enterprises. Much of the work is do it yourself, which may not fit all personalities. You will need work to make your mark.

Pros

Pleasant people to work with overall. Remote was the biggest plus.

Cons

FAST turnaround. They are struggling to stay afloat as a startup and it seems like they are hiring very different types of people in hopes that someone will 'fix it'. Had a situation where they let go of recent hires and couldn't hire a new person who was PT and being onboarded. Very very unorganized, files, people, who is responsible for what/who. You will wear many hats and be asked to do things that are not part of your profession. HR is outsourced. Bad communication because of it, onboarding is all over the place. Too many meetings for things that are not relevant to you.
