Pros

Free snack were provided so that's about it.

Cons

Worst job ever. I had accepted the job offer thinking it would lead to other opportunities but after 1 week on the job I realized what the job was really about; sales. Even though my job title indicated otherwise, I was constantly making and receiving phone calls to sell inventory that I had to test, clean, and package before shipping. For each sale, there was an opportunity to get paid commission and that is if the owner approved it. I would check paycheck after paycheck for the commission on the higher end sales and I only was angered more when the owner showed up one day with an Ashton Martin (you can do your research on the value of this car and by the way that it's not his only car) and you have me patiently waiting for some compensation for doing my part. I would get called out for giving a client a $2 discount but nothing was said or done when I made a mistake that would be reflected on my paycheck. Also, the owner would make you feel worthless if you made a mistake. Commission details were in the contract but now I know to read one thoroughly before signing one. One day, the owner called a longstanding employee 'stupid' behind their back. I've always wondered what he would say about a newer employee.

Pros

Jesse was an amazing boss. He made sure that we all understood the systems and products that we were selling. He thoroughly answered questions and challenged his staff to work smarter. I learned a great amount from him and think back fondly on the time I had at Disc Tech.

Cons

Not really a con but you do need to be confident in your skills and manage yourself. The company really allows you to produce results on your own time but also expects that you get things done in a timely manner.

Pros

Gained hands-on experience across many areas

Cons

Base pay remained stagnant for long periods despite increased responsibilities No consistent cost-of-living raises, which made it difficult to keep up with expenses in San Diego Frequent additional duties outside of the core job role increased workload and stress Performance incentive program required zero mistakes to qualify, which added pressure rather than providing reliable financial support Meetings and non-core tasks during peak work hours made it challenging to manage workload effectively
