Pros
-Assistant managers were great. -Most coworkers made it a fun environment. -Lots of fun if you're into pop culture and videogames. -Cool customers. -Laidback on slow days. -Fun tasks. -Days requested off were usually on par; could request off up to a week with no issue. -Room for creativity. -Neat discounts (25% off). -Dog-friendly.
Cons
-Unprofessional management/ hostile work environment. -Head manager harasses employees through texts instead of handling and resolving issues face-to-face, most likely fires anyone at any time depending on mood (more people have been fired in the past than having just left in the past several years, some for no reason at all); not logically reliable/unfit to manage. -No proper training for doing buys; you get thrown into the process and they expect you to know what you're doing; no supervision. -No raises (locked in at $8.25 for eternity, probably; $11 for assistant managers). -Extremely underpaid. -Do illegal stuff with checks. -Empty promises. -No advancement into higher positions/ manager plays favorites. -No regard for employees; treated like garbage even though management is "there for you". -Laidback environment causes cultivation for possible drama. -No regards for any sort of health issues, management "acknowledges" them and then treats the situation like nothing was said so they can continue sucking the life out of your work ethic; no appreciation for employees. -No constructive criticism, literal harassment, threats, and nitpicking instead, -Customers can suck if they're not happy with the offer and will take it out on you. -Lots of heroin/drug users come in trying to sell (sometimes stolen) stuff so you have to deal with that (aggression and stupor). -I've seen the literal life sucked out of fellow coworkers in the time I have worked here, it borders onto depression. -This place is for the dogs. -UNPROFESSIONAL. -UNPROFESSIONAL. -UNPROFESSIONAL.
