Terrible environment - Customer Service Representative Direct Couriers Employee Review

I was unfortunately let go when my probation came to an end and at the time I was very upset as I really enjoyed my job and was so passionate about my role and was proud to work for what I thought was a great and rewarding company. After being out of the role and not working for direct couriers for sometime now I have come to realise that this place was actually a very hostile and toxic environment to be in. During my time at the Brisbane depot I was exposed to some really unprofessional situations by my direct manager *****, all the staff that were present at direct couriers warned me that ***** was not a pleasant manager to work under and that the the turn over within the department was huge I learnt over time that ***** manner and management style was poor and the way she treated people was just ‘nasty’ - you never really knew what each day would bring, everyone within the department is and was scared of her and the team all constantly felt like they were walking on egg shells not making it a great pleasant place to be in. I always came to work with a positive attitude and always exceeded in my role by going above and beyond for our customers. I recently seeked legal advice about with the reasoning why I was let go with an explanation from my employer being that I was involved in to much drama, that drama being sticking up for other former colleagues that were bullied and targeted by ***** herself, I was then offered by the general manager in my probation meeting to apply for a new position in a few weeks time that was becoming available it all just didn’t add up or make any sense to me, why end my probation and then offer me to apply for an upcoming role as a fleet assistant? when seeking legal advice I was advised that I had a valid case but decided not to pursue it as I have moved on from direct couriers and found a job and company that value each one of their employers as you would expect from any company. I really hope you take into consideration the mental effects that direct couriers Brisbane has caused on its past and present staff. I worked with some amazing people during my time here but the morale can all be ruined by one horrible manager and I feel the upper management don’t act on this very swiftly nor provide the correct support as required for staff that are placed in this environment on a daily basis. During my time here I was witnessed to grown women resigning or leaving on their own terms and brought to tears on a regular basis due to the behaviour of the customer service manager, with her even going to the extent of humiliating staff on social media platforms. I wish direct couriers all the best for the future and hope that one day they can fix what could be a really great place to work for. I don’t expect a reply, I just felt like this was the right time to send this email and bring it to your attention and I hope this prompts the people and culture team to invest sometime working and speaking to pass and present staff of what they have experienced during their employment at direct couriers.
