Pros

- benefits program has good coverage - parking pass/bus pass is a great perk - grocery program very helpful - there are some truly remarkable human beings that work here, and the collegial atmosphere on some of the teams makes coming into work worth it - human resources and IT are reliable, friendly, and a joy to work with - open-concept office with good hardware and lots of windows makes for a nice physical environment

Cons

As part of a recent "restructuring" (ie. unsustainable business practices and lack of forethought leading to massive losses in a time of financial turmoil), 40 people were let go, and there were other terminations in the past months leading up to this. These people were completely blindsided, and terminations did not appear to take into account dedication to the company, seniority, or (at least on the surface) performance evaluation and production/contributions. This is characteristic of the company's overall approach. They are in a tumultuous business landscape, but they spend big when they have money and fire people when they don't. Critique of the company and how its "values" align with actual business practices is met with formal and informal discipline and silencing, and the implicit threat of being fired at any time for any reason (and, in some cases, no just cause) really hampers the desire to go above and beyond the call of duty. Promotions are sometimes based on a complex system of nepotism and internal/external clique dynamics, and the majority of senior employees are male. The long and short of it is, this company will treat you like you are disposable, and poor compensation/opportunities for advancement are covered up by "cool" branding (office beer fridge, celebratory treats). Would love to see this company learn to walk the talk when it comes to their vision and values, but I'm not holding out hope.

Pros

A very inclusive environment. Entire team gets along really well with each other. I'm filling this out, because I really believe in the company, and my time here so far has been excellent. It's a fun environment, but we still getting quality focused work done. I've never been part of a team where I felt as important as I do here. Senior leadership is very caring about everyone in the org. I would easily recommend working here to any of my peers. I learn a lot every day, while still being able to bring my unique skill and knowledge set to the table.

Cons

I honestly can't think of any cons here....

Pros

- Well stocked fridge - Central location for both London & Toronto - A lot of people go onto find really amazing jobs after they work at Diply - Good people - Work from home days

Cons

- Senior Management is almost all men - Lack of female representation - Filled with drama - No transparency - They say there's room for growth, but there isn't really. Raises are hard to come by. You're more likely to get a "title" promotion and nothing else. - Laid off a LOT of staff in one year, and are re-building. This could be a pro BUT, I wouldn't trust that your job is secure, even if they say it is. - Lots of promises, no follow through.
