I would not recommend Dimension Studio to anyone serious about their career. The company has undergone significant changes, moving away from being a decent place to work and becoming more focused on corporate priorities, often at the expense of employees. Morale has declined dramatically, especially after the redundancy process, which many felt was disorganized and unfair. The way the redundancy matrix was applied seemed inconsistent, leading to frustration and confusion. Leadership, particularly in the Content department, needs improvement. Projects are often poorly organized, and it seems that feedback from only select individuals is valued, creating an unhealthy work dynamic. Accountability and transparency in decision-making were lacking, leaving teams without clear direction. The company does not seem to invest in its artists. Training opportunities are minimal, and acquiring professional-grade equipment can be difficult due to budget limitations. There are also no meaningful social events, further contributing to a lack of cohesion among employees. Projects are often chaotic, and the lack of clear processes or direction leads to confusion. Leadership seems to struggle with providing the necessary guidance, which adds to the overall disorganization. It’s heart-breaking to see how Dimension has declined. The decision to let so many people go just before Christmas shows a complete lack of empathy. Even those who stayed seem disillusioned and are actively looking for opportunities elsewhere due to the negative environment. It’s also concerning that the company over-hired during less busy times, only to make layoffs a few months later, which contributed to a sense of instability and mistrust. If career growth is important to you, I would recommend exploring other opportunities. There are studios that prioritize their employees' growth and well-being more effectively.

Pros

There are some really good and talented people in this company, too bad they are not treated correctly.

Cons

I spent two years working at Dimension and went through two burnouts in that time. Why? - I received no proper training. - There was a complete absence of real management. - My voice was consistently ignored. - I was never given the tools I needed to do my job. - Support from the hierarchy was nonexistent. - Internal communication was unclear and inconsistent. - We were repeatedly misled, white lies are still lies. - Real lies aren't better, either. - Promises were made, then quietly broken. - Concerns were met with denial, or worse, laughter from management (which is WILD). At one point, I was even asked to provide my own job description because after two years, they still had no idea what I had actually been doing. I am very sad to have to say that it might be the worst place I've ever worked for. I started with a lot of hope and excitement, what a disillusion.

Talented employees have been unfairly let go through abrupt and unfair redundancy processes, leaving the company with a depleted workforce. Additionally, the HR department is unresponsive, dismissive of employee concerns, and downright disrespectful. They seem incapable of listening to employees' concerns and often resort to gaslighting tactics. The company also has a habit of making empty promises, such as offering generous benefits and opportunities to attend industry conferences. These promises often go unfulfilled, leaving employees feeling disillusioned and undervalued. Furthermore, the company lacks a defined culture and values. Open and honest feedback is discouraged, and critical opinions are often dismissed. The company also struggles with diversity and inclusion. In the last few years, the company has made numerous poor decisions, leading to a decline in both quality and morale. These decisions have had a negative impact on the company's reputation and its ability to attract and retain top talent. While there were some truly talented and wonderful individuals at Dimension Studio, the company's management failed to recognise and appreciate their contributions. It's unfortunate that such talented people were not valued or supported.
