Many (but not all) managers are either too young or just aren't leaders. The founders are very mercurial, and focus on meaningless details often--they are bad with the big picture. The founders are definitely not qualified for a business this large or this technical--they are trying to hold on to the rocketship without getting pushed out the window. The company is fairly slow paced and seems allergic to adding new products and features. They should be more nimble than the big competitors but instead they are slower. Everyone lives in fear that the values and roadmap of the company will change...again (this happens often). The family drama here is real with many of the senior contributors being related and major family squabbles have and continue to hurt the business.
