Nothing is perfect but I really like it here - Department Head Digital Surgeons Employee Review

Pros

There is an entrepreneurial spirit and obsession with being on the bleeding edge of marketing and technology in order to help clients thrive. We have everything we need to be great, including smart people, great facilities, and all the work tools we need to deliver. If you have a growth mindset, you'll fit right in. Also, if you value a flexible work setup with remote, hybrid, or schedule flexibility, you'll find it here. For agency people considering a move to DS, have you ever worked for an agency that opted out of working with clients if they made internal teams miserable? I didn't think so. Intentionally giving up revenue because it is the right thing to do is VERY rare in this world and should be celebrated.

Cons

Nothing is perfect. I've been at big companies and small, each having a number of challenges, and this place, like all, has its share. Too much work in one particular department vs. another at a particular moment and the lack of speed to load balance can be tough on staff. Changing tools, processes, company offerings, and people create conditions that can stress teams and individuals. What you'll hear about work/life balance here depends on who you talk to. At any moment it can be great or challenging. I believe that this is the nature of the business but it can still be hard for those feeling overwhelmed at any given time.

Pros

Here's what I learned there: the language designers speak, and the language developers speak, and the language the C-Suite speaks. The people hired to work here are some of the best marketers and creatives I've ever crossed in my career

Cons

Professional decorum is non-existent, this place runs on the Founder's ego, "hustle culture", and gossip. The good reviews you're reading, are likely all written by the CEO's lackeys. Working here made me physically sick. I walked out after being slapped with a PIP during my first 90 days of onboarding (never seen anything like that happen to anyone in my professional career before or since)
