Humans are resources, the loudest ego in the room gets rewarded - Digital Marketing Digital Surgeons Employee Review

Pros

-They can attract some good talent -If you're always the "cool kid" where you work, you don't plan on starting a family, you don't plan on getting sick, and you're ok with using others mistakes to make yourself look good, you can do very well here. -If it's your first job/internship it can make a decent resume stuffer -Nice office

Cons

-The boys club and "runs on ego" comments in other reviews seem to be true. -They seem to be big on blame when things go wrong. People who take the initiative to tell senior management that it was someone else's fault are seen as proactive and protecting the culture. -Employees that have families and/or get sick don't seem to last too long. Management doesn't seem able or willing to account for the demands of raising a family - if you have a family and work 12 hour days anyway, you're rewarded. So if stability and an employer you can rely on are important to you, avoid. -Most agencies have demanding workloads, but the apparent lack of organization here makes it worse. If (when) your higher up messes up a timeline or over-promises a client because they don't understand the work involved, you will pick up the slack. -There's a lot of talk around self care, being "human centered" and work/life balance. It's just hype. Nervous energy over long hours is encouraged. Humans are resources.

Pros

Here's what I learned there: the language designers speak, and the language developers speak, and the language the C-Suite speaks. The people hired to work here are some of the best marketers and creatives I've ever crossed in my career

Cons

Professional decorum is non-existent, this place runs on the Founder's ego, "hustle culture", and gossip. The good reviews you're reading, are likely all written by the CEO's lackeys. Working here made me physically sick. I walked out after being slapped with a PIP during my first 90 days of onboarding (never seen anything like that happen to anyone in my professional career before or since)
