Pros
Amazing environment, some of the most creative, fun people, fast paced work but they have you involved, specific summer intern project for interns, work daily with other interns as well as access to staff higher up such as the president, founding partners, creative directors and CEO because of the smaller work environment. Lunch is a time for everyone to get together and either cook in the kitchen or go somewhere to eat together. The work DK does is incredible and it was great having access to that. You work very closely with a variety of people from different fields which gives you a positive experience to see how projects are developed from conception to production. They keep the interns involved and busy.
Cons
Digital Kitchen is hard to complain about because the work environment, experience, work, people and location are all so positive. DK is in part of a field in which people are moving fairly swiftly to and from different companies, which is common. They also didn't offer a paid internship, so although the experience was well worth it, it wasn't affordable and I had to commute from the suburbs. It isn't like this in all cases.
