Pros

DFP began a major reorganisation in March 2020 and out of the process came a more experienced and hard working team that have shaped and defined a meaningful product suite and value proposition. These are exciting times for the business, and for me especially, being in marketing, it's great to be a part of it. Being part of a team who are very highly qualified in their fields, and have a depth of experience, is a joy! Investment in people, processes, tech and welfare are strongly in evidence, and with these 'rights' we all sign up to our 'responsibilities' - hard work being at the top of the list!

Cons

Sometimes there's not enough hours in the day! We, like all tech companies, experience team resource shortfalls which impact on our ability to meet our roadmap demands - but that could be seen as a nice problem to have. This issue is mostly to do with the recruitment process and the investment in time that takes! And alas, that process is not as successful as we'd hoped.

Pros

The lower level staff are good people, willing to help out and work together and are open to change for success.

Cons

The biggest warning sign of any company is when it asks it's employee's to review it on Glassdoor ;) Hugely unorganised, downright lies about what products it has and the needs from the CEO change daily with zero guidance on why or how. Arrogance is seen throughout the company, excluding the Sales department ironically. From developers who think they know better than their managers to members of the C-suite who has zero experience managing a company and a downright unwillingness to learn. They push culture and values but they mean nothing, like a lot of start ups in the early days, they use those words as an excuse to underpay and moan about their staff behind their backs. They have more awards than products and seem to focus on their image and the self branding of the CEO, Erik Abrahamson. Erik is a man who’s management style is that of whatever self-help startup book he’s read this month, which he will recommend to everyone til the next one comes around. A man who became a CEO, not because he loved a product or an idea but because he wanted to be a CEO.

From the outside it looks like a great place to work but on the side it is quite rotten to the core. I would avoid at all costs.

Thanks for taking the time to share this feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you’re unhappy with your experience at DFP. We’d love to engage in a deeper conversation, and invite you to reach out so that we can learn how to do things better. I also want to address a few of the specific points you’ve raised: - We’ve always encouraged employees, current and former, to give us reviews, positive or negative, on Glassdoor in the spirit of transparency. We hope this will give us valuable feedback and ways we can improve. This will definitely continue. - Our compensation policy is tied to our status and funding as a company, with stock options offered to all employees as part of the full compensation package. - As you pointed out, we have received over 10 high profile industry awards, and with our single data asset being one product, the arithmetic does lead to more awards than products. But surely, this is something the team should be proud of? - We are very proud of the culture and values that we have at DFP and don't agree with many of your comments in this regard. - We will always encourage our developers to challenge their managers in a productive way and we're glad that the managers that stay and thrive in the business understand that and learn from it. - As a startup, our leadership team is naturally not as experienced as those, say, at a publicly listed company. However this means that we do everything we can to learn and be better - like reading books and meeting with other business leaders. We won’t always get it right, but we pledge to always try to learn and improve, every single day. We’re glad that you’ve found somewhere more suited to you, and do invite you to engage in a productive dialogue for making DFP an even better place. /Erik Abrahamsson, CEO

Pros

- Hard-working close-knit team that is pushing to develop data-led solutions into the Global Insurance market. - Clear midterm strategy for what the business is trying to achieve - Full transparency from the Senior Management team as to how the business is performing and the future plans for growth and fundraising - Opportunity to work in a fast-paced tech start-up where your work really matters - Support in external training courses and qualifications to improve skills - Senior management team is good at listening to ideas put forward to them and often implement them as they strive to improve the business

Cons

- Not really a con but something to be aware of. As a start-up, change happens regularly at DFP. If you enjoy creative problem solving and are keen to learn about different parts of the business that is sometimes outside of your day-to-day role, then this is a great place to be!
